Pasta made to
be savored

Cook up a crowd-pleaser with Creamette pastas, and spend a little more time together at the table.

Our story

James T. Williams opened up his first grocery store in Minneapolis in 1896. Just a few years later, he’d already ignited his passion for kitchen creativity by inventing the first quick-cooking pasta.

Soon his pasta was the talk of the town. His redesigned elbow macaroni noodles, with thinner walls and larger holes, were in high demand because they made dinner a breeze to prepare. Creamette quickly became a kitchen staple, but James’ creative juices kept flowing.

In the 1950s, Creamette became known as the “recipe company,” with easy recipes printed on every box, adding value to every purchase. Creamette was run by the family until 1979, when it was sold to the Borden Dairy Company. Today, Creamette remains a family favorite and continues inspiring mealtime masterpieces every day.
